Data Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 16, 2026  ·  Version: 1.0

This Data Privacy Policy explains how All Electric Construction & Communication, LLC accesses, uses, and protects data in connection with the All Electric Monitoring Platform, including data retrieved from solar monitoring services such as the SMA Monitoring and Live APIs.

1. Scope and who we are

This Policy applies to the All Electric Monitoring Platform (the “Platform”), an internal solar fleet monitoring and reporting application operated by All Electric Construction & Communication, LLC together with its solar division and affiliate AEC Solar LLC (collectively, “All Electric,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located at 180 Wampus Lane, Milford, CT 06460, United States. All Electric is the party responsible for data handled through the Platform.

2. Data we access and process

The Platform retrieves and processes operational data from PV systems that All Electric installs, owns, or services. Depending on the connected monitoring service and the equipment installed, this may include:

  • System and device data — plant and device identifiers, nominal capacity, configuration, and equipment serial numbers;
  • Production and performance data — AC and DC power output, energy yield, and per-string or per-inverter performance measurements;
  • Operational status data — device online/offline status, communication health, last-data timestamps, and fault, alarm, and event records;
  • Electrical measurements — voltage, current, frequency, and power-factor values reported by inverters and metering equipment; and
  • Limited contact and authorization information — the names, business contact details, and authorization records of system owners and their representatives, used to manage access and reporting.

The Platform is concerned with the technical operation of solar equipment. It is not designed to collect special categories of sensitive personal data.

3. Sources of data

We obtain data from manufacturer and third-party monitoring services that we are authorized to connect to, including the SMA Monitoring and Live APIs (via SMA Sunny Portal / ennexOS) and platforms such as SolarEdge, AlsoEnergy, Fronius, SolrenView, and eGauge. Where a provider requires it, data is retrieved only after the relevant system owner grants explicit, revocable authorization through that provider’s consent process.

4. How and why we use data

We process data for the following business purposes:

  • Monitoring real-time and historical performance of monitored PV systems;
  • Detecting underperformance, communication failures, and fault or alarm conditions so that service can be dispatched promptly;
  • Verifying production against power purchase agreement (PPA) and applicable tariff or incentive billing, and supporting billing reconciliation;
  • Preparing performance reports for system owners; and
  • Maintaining, securing, and improving the Platform itself.

We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

5. Legal basis and consent

Where a data provider operates a consent-based authorization model, our access depends on the system owner’s explicit authorization, which the owner may withdraw at any time through the provider. Withdrawing authorization stops further data retrieval for the affected system. Where authorization is not handled by a provider’s consent screen, we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating, monitoring, and maintaining the systems we install and service, and to fulfill our service and contractual obligations to system owners.

6. How we share data

We limit access to data to those who need it. We may share data:

  • Within All Electric — with authorized personnel who operate, monitor, and service the systems;
  • With system owners — in the form of performance reports and operational summaries relating to their own systems;
  • With service providers — vendors that host or support the Platform under confidentiality obligations and only as needed to provide their services; and
  • For legal reasons — where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

We do not sell data and do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7. Data retention

We retain operational and performance data for as long as needed to monitor and service the relevant systems, to support billing reconciliation and reporting, and to meet our legal and contractual obligations. When data is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

8. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. These include access controls, secure handling of API credentials and access tokens, and limiting access to authorized personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

System owners and individuals may, subject to applicable law:

  • Withdraw authorization for data access at any time through the relevant data provider (for example, via the SMA consent management process);
  • Request information about the data we hold relating to their systems;
  • Request correction of inaccurate contact or authorization information; and
  • Request deletion of data where we are not required to retain it.

To exercise any of these choices, contact us using the details below. Connecticut residents and individuals in other jurisdictions may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.

10. International data transfers

Some connected data providers, including SMA Solar Technology AG, are located outside the United States. When data is retrieved through such a provider, it may be processed in or transferred between the provider’s jurisdiction and the United States. We rely on each provider’s own safeguards for such processing and handle the data we receive in accordance with this Policy.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected by updating this page.
